the
Chhattisgarh
government
announced
a
series
of
impactful
decisions
aimed
at
improving
financial
access
for
government
employees,
supporting
persons
with
disabilities,
and
strengthening
the
education
sector.

To
address
the
urgent
financial
needs
of
state
employees,
the
Cabinet
has
decided
to
invite
proposals
from
banks
and
financial
institutions
for
providing
short-term
loans
against
salaries.
The
Finance
Department
has
been
authorized
to
initiate
the
process
and
finalize
agreements.
A
draft
Memorandum
of
Understanding
(MoU)
has
also
been
approved
for
signing
with
eligible
institutions.
The
Chhattisgarh
Cabinet
has
approved
measures
to

financial

short-term

a
loan

the

direct
recruitment

In
a
major
welfare
initiative,
the
Cabinet
approved
a
one-time
repayment
of
₹24.50
crore
to
the
National
Divyangjan
Finance
and
Development
Corporation
(NDFDC).
The
NDFDC
offers
concessional
loans
to
persons
with
disabilities
for
self-employment
and
education.
This
move
is
expected
to
ease
financial
pressure
and
enhance
access
to
opportunities
for
the
differently-abled
community
in
the
state.
Direct
Recruitment
of
Special
Educators
The
Cabinet
granted
a
one-time
relaxation
in
the
School
Education
Department’s
Recruitment
and
Promotion
Rules,
2019,
allowing
for
direct
recruitment
of
100
Special
Educators.
These
positions
will
now
be
filled
based
on
merit,
bypassing
the
usual
competitive
examination
process.
The
decision
aims
to
expedite
the
hiring
process
and
address
the
growing
need
for
specialized
teaching
staff.
Leadership
Transition
in
State
Administration
The
meeting
also
marked
an
emotional
farewell
to
Shri
Amitabh
Jain,
IAS
(1989
batch),
who
retired
from
the
post
of
Chief
Secretary.
The
Cabinet
extended
a
warm
welcome
to
Shri
Vikas
Sheel,
IAS
(1994
batch),
as
the
newly
appointed
Chief
Secretary
of
Chhattisgarh.
